THESSALY, Koinon of Thessaly. temp. Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Triassarion (23mm, 9.77 g, 6h). Antigonos, strategos. [Σ]EBAΣTHΩN ΘEΣΣAΛΩN (retrograde), veiled female head (Livia?) left, wearing stephanos / Σ(retrograde)TPATHΓOY ANTIΓONOY, the nymph Larissa standing left, holding ball in her right hand; monogram in left field. Burrer Em. 1, Series 2, 41 corr. (A13/R33; legends, monogram); RPC 1434 (same dies as illustration). Near VF, dark green patina, minor roughness.

In addition to the variation in monograms in this issue (see lot 924.2), Burrer also fails to note the retrograde letters in the legends on the dies A13/R33.
